The East County Performing Arts Center was originally built in 1977 as a cooperative effort between the Grossmont - Cuyamaca school district and the City of El Cajon.  Its opening inaugural performance was September 8, 1977.  Since then, the venue has hosted numerous productions from all over the nation and several international events.  Our venue is located in the heart of the revitalized downtown El Cajon area.  We are just 15 minutes east of downtown San Diego.

Our intimate theater boasts 1142 seats that offer spacious continental style seating in 27 rows.  Every patron in our house is seated within 100 feet of the stage and with no center aisle, we can truly state that we have no bad seat in our venue.  The San Diego Reader named East County Performing Arts Center "Best Concert Hall" and our venue has been described as the most acoustically perfect in San Diego.

Art Beat Management is a focused unit of CCT Musical Theater and provides the management team that overseas and manages the East County Performing Arts Center.  The mission of Art Beat is to serve the needs of the community by providing the best in local and regional entertainment at reasonable rates and to provide a first class facility to the greater San Diego community.
